About Hilltop Roofing & Construction
A Message from Our President, Cahill Hooker

Hi there, my name is Cahill Hooker, and I am the President of Hilltop Roofing & Construction (“HRC”). Thank you for visiting our page! HRC is not just any roofing business; it’s a family-owned boutique roofing company structured to provide dedicated service to its clients. From your initial call to the day your new roof is installed and beyond, I work with each of HRC’s clients exclusively, ensuring personalized and thorough service every step of the way.
Our Journey and Expertise
I grew up around construction, spending my summers working alongside my father—a home remodeler and old-world trained carpenter. After Hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana in 2005, he transitioned into a career as a traveling insurance claims adjuster.
A lifelong entrepreneur, I began my professional journey in the crude oil marketing and trading industry. However, I always had my sights set on forging my own path. I became a roofing contractor in 2018 and quickly expanded into commercial restorations following the tornadoes that struck Dallas in the fall of 2019.
After the construction boom during the pandemic and the ice storm of early 2021, I began remodeling homes and eventually evolved into a general contractor. This work includes the full-gut remodel my wife and I completed on our original 1941 home in Westcliff West, as well as the remodels of our 1920s duplex in the Rivercrest area.
This broad construction experience allows us to bring a wealth of knowledge to every roofing project. We don’t just fix roofs—we ensure the integrity, function, and beauty of your entire home. At HRC, the phrase “not my job” doesn’t exist. We prioritize homeowners’ needs above all, always focusing on the big picture when making recommendations.
Understanding the Homeowner’s Perspective
Becoming homeowners ourselves in 2015, my wife and I experienced the havoc a large hail storm can wreak on a property. The process was eye-opening, showing us the flaws in communication, transparency, and service that are all too common in the roofing industry. We learned how easily information and client requests can get lost in the shuffle between the roofing company owner, salespeople, and job site supervisors, and how roofing contractors might neglect the broader impacts of their work on a house. This firsthand experience drives our commitment to doing things differently at HRC.
Committed to Excellence and Integrity
In Texas, where the state does not require roofing contractors to hold any form of registration or licensure, the market is flooded with operators lacking accountability. Thankfully, the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT) administers a private, elective licensing program that upholds the same high standards expected of licensed professionals—including testing, continuing education, and proof of insurance.
I am proud to hold both a Commercial and Residential Roofing License (CRRL #03-0552) through RCAT. This affiliation reflects our unwavering commitment to professionalism, reliability, and delivering high-quality work that exceeds industry standards.

Throughout my career, I have repaired and replaced each type of roofing system common to our region.
